In 1963, Pepsi-Cola wanted to expand their product line. So they franchised bottlers with the new name. Pepsi-Cola didn\'t want to compete with the flavors of Orange Crush so much, as they just wanted to expand their line and to compete with Royal Crown\'s new product Diet Rite.
Many flavors eventually were produced by local franchises. Not much effort was put forth to advertise the product, so Patio was phased out in the early 1970\'s. Patio did however, eventually come up with a Diet Cola. It was so good, that Pepsi adopted the mixture and named it Diet Pepsi.
This is an unopened bottle of \"Patio\" Grape Soda. On both sides of the shoulder, it states, \"Patio From the Makers of Pepsi-Cola 10 Fl. oz.\". It is a beautifully designed bottle with an art deco look. This bottle is dated 1971, 53 years ago.
The bottle is in perfect condition, unopened, with perfect ACL labels, no case wear, and no chips or cracks. The crown cap is also perfect.
