Description - This is an original and official Christening Coin for the USS ENTERPRISE, the first nuclear powered aircraft carrier of the US Navy.
- The coin comes in its original fold-out holder AND includes the original presentation envelope.
- This official memento was presented during the ship\'s christening held on 24 September 1960 in Newport News, VA where it was being built.
- ENTERPRISE was the world\'s largest ship, and was in service for 51 years!
- The coin measures 1.5\" in diameter, and appears to be made of brass.
- The fold-out holder measures approximately 3.5\" X 4.5\". The envelope is slightly larger than that.
- This coin is pretty tough to find, especially in it\'s original holder and envelope.
- The coin, holder and envelope are in great condition.
- This is a great piece of US Naval history!
