This gorgeous Smoky Skeletal Herkimer Diamond quartz cluster is from The Diamond Mountain Mine in Little Falls, New York!
This cluster is comprised of two crystals, the larger of which being somewhat cloudy and with contacted terminations while the other is smaller but has spectacular clarity and smoky color. Minor inclusions of black hydrocarbon as well as flashy rainbows. The smaller crystal is really the star if the show, it has flawless terminations and jaw-dropping clarity which is accentuated by a series of smoky phantoms. There are a few key marks and areas of host rock contact, but this is a great specimen overall.
100% natural. Mined by hand in the Summer of 2022.
