Rare 35mm Anscochrome slide of Sebring Grand Prix 1957 12 hour race. The slide shows the #39 Arnolt-Bristol Bolide of Bob Goldich and Stanley Arnolt as track crew and fans just lifted the car up slightly. You can actually see Bobs helmet between one of the mens legs. The last seconds of this mans life captured in this image. During the third hour of the race Bob Goldichcrashed at the Esses and flipped his car several times. He died instantly of a fractured skull and broken neck. When news of Goldich\'s death reachedStanley Arnolthe withdrew the rest of his team. This marked the first death of a driver in the history of the Sebring race. This is an original slide in excellent condition as shown with couple small spots. Image is clear and car and number can be seen clearly in slide.I do combine shipping.
