Singer 301 Short Bed (Sometimes called the Big Sister to the Singer221 Featherweight)
It was the first family sewing machine ever made that was a cabinet and portable all in one. You can raise the handle and lift the machine out of the cabinet and carry it anywhere. The first family sewing machine to sew up to 1,600 stitches per minute. Singer craftsmen took 100 years of engineering knowledge and built an amazing machine that represented the ultimate in sewing machine design and styling. This new Slant-needle sewing machine would be known as the revolutionary "Singer Model 301".

Comes in ‘modern’ beautiful original Singer cabinet # 65 Standard Desk Model
This modern sewing cabinet serves double duty as a spacious writing desk and has three drawers large enough to hold a complete selection of sewing supplies as well as correspondence and stationery.
The stool is sturdy and original, came with this cabinet. It has some wood chips on the bottom legs.
It has the original cloth cover on the seat but has been ‘reupholstered’ with a pretty more modern teal color fabric. It is stapled on and can be easily removed if you wish to expose the original fabric which is in very good condition.
The head of the machine is Black with gold “paperclip” decals on the head of the machine are in very good condition with some scratches consistent with use, but I would say it is in better than average condition.
Die cast Doehler-Jarvis cast aluminum body that is lighter weight (about 14 lbs) but still super sturdy
Stitch length adjuster from 6 to 30 and makes beautiful stitches no matter the length (See samples)
The first slant needle machine made after WWII.
It has a built in SINGERLIGHT to illuminate your sewing. All the parts on this machine are original Singer parts with the exception of the upper thread tension assembly. It is a replacement assembly.

I will not separate the machine from the cabinet. They were made to be together!
