Up for your visual and listening pleasure, one RCA Victor clock radio in fire engine red. This petite clock radio hails from 1952. It was serviced electronically in 2021. The radio works (see video link below) and the Telechron clock keeps time, as it should. It still functions as an alarm so if you set it to 8 am, the radio will go off at that time. Ah, the wonders of old technology!
This is nice compact model, measuring 8 inches wide, 3 inches in depth and 6 inches tall. The gold \"porthole\" dial is in very good vintage condition as is the cherry red case. There is a small chip on the bottom of the case but this isn\'t visible. On the left side of the case you can see an extension of the underside chip as a small semi-circle chip. See last photo for details. It really isn\'t noticeable, unless you know it\'s there. The bright red of the case hides it well.
I\'ve uploaded a video to YouTube. The link is that the on/off switch on these models is notoriously finicky (they came in other colours). It\'s a slide switch but it needs to be pressed down when slide to on, off or auto.
The video gives you a good idea as to how to press upon it when turning it on or off.
