Nice dinner menu in recognition of outstandingservice by the Seattle Chamber of Commerce for Nat S Rogers. Held at the JuniorBallroom Olympic Hotel on September 13, 1949. Nat S. Rogers (1898-1980) wasdescribed by friends as a scion of the Seattle business community. JamesMcCurdy, president of the Puget Sound Dredging Co., knew Rogers all his life,and remembers Rogers as a patriarch and a very civic-minded individual. Hispresidencies included the Seattle Chamber of Commerce, The Rainier Club and theArctic Club; and he was 1946 campaign manager of Seattle\'s Community Fund, nowknown as United Way. Rogers was named Seattle\'s First Citizen in 1958 by theSeattle Real Estate Board and was similarly honored by the National Conferenceof Christians and Jews. He was a founding trustee of Camp Brotherhood and theSeattle Foundation; trustee of the Seattle Housing Authority and GoodwillIndustries. 6” x 9 ¼” with a felt like cover. Yellow cord tie.
