An Air Mail letter written from a Son to his parents in Kent.Very chatty letter written on fine Air Mail paper with the heading, S S \'City of Paris\', the ship he is sailing on, detailing the daily life aboard as it sails down to Cape Town. Two South African stamps 6d & 3d with a 5 wavy line cancel and a thimble postmark from Cape Town, South Africa, posted on 12th August 1949 and addressed to Mrs Reatchlous in Bearsted.
