We offer a BUSTER BROWN promotional \"shoe box\" (with handle) featuring a large b&w photo of children\'s radio/TV host Smilin\' Ed McConnell.
\"Smilin\' Ed\'s Buster Brown Gang\" Radio/TV show aired from the mid 1940\'s through the early 1950\'s (later hosted by Andy Devine). Box features colorful cut-outs of show characters Froggy the Gremlin, Midnight the Cat, Squeeky the Mouse, Buster Brown, & Tige the Dog.
NOTE: This is the very scarce early play box version (before the \"Treasure Hunt\" game variation with Andy Devine).
Highly graphic with bright imagery.
Condition is considered only FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Misc. surface creasing with moderate litho scuffing. Scattered corner/edge tears with brown & clear tape reinforcement in areas. One box side flap missing. No contents. Colors and imagery are still bold, bright & attractive.
Overall, despite obvious defects, we feel this is still a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
