A truly amazing specimen, this PARKER 51 VACUMATIC fountain pen exudes vintage sophistication. The black body has a mirror sleekness, smooth even over the blind cap which hides the plastic Vacumatic plunger. The pinstriped gold cap is stamped 1/10 16 KT GOLD FILLED MADE IN U.S.A., adorned with a shimmery grey jewel and Parker's classic arrow clip. The 14 KT GOLD NIB writes a fine width line, not too wet and not too dry. Nib is stamped RUPU (ruthenium plathenium tipping material) 1945 MADE IN U.S.A. Barrel is stamped and dated as well, below the hood band, with PARKER "51"5 MADE IN U.S.A.
