1943 WWII Shortened Airborne M-43 Folding Shovel with 1st Model Carrier This is an original 1943 dated folding shovel. It is not an original airborne shortened shovel. The end was damaged when I bought it and I cut it off and beveled the edge. I used it for many years in reenacting and it served well. The locking ring rotates smoothly and the shovel is in great shape. The cover is original and in very good shape. It is the 1st model cover that is not adjustable at the back for height.
