Linen postcard mailed from Warrensburg, MO. "...don't know when we will move to Texas. Sure hope I will get a furlow (sic) for xmas. Doubt weather I do though...No one ever knows where we will be from one day till the next" Condition: clean card, mildly age toned, corners very slightly rounded. The postcard is only signed Chas. Wm. For him to have used the FREE rate he should have included his full name, rank, and unit. Identification of the writer is by reference to other postcards of his bearing the full required information. See the last image in the listing where the full information is included. However, the card in the last image is not included in this lot.

Technical Sergeant Charles W. Reuter (ASN: 15319094), United States Army Air Forces, was captured by German forces after his aircraft was shot down on or about June 27, 1944 and was held as a Prisoner of War until his return to U.S. Military Control at the end of hostilities in May 1945.
