Everyone loves this print...a early Hawaiian favorite...it was first sold on the US base exchanges in Hawaii in the early 40's...I refer to these leafy type patterns as TROPACHIC...versatile for any decor really...from Hawaiian to Hollywood Regency to Hollywood Glam and mid century modern. It has a sophistication and a casual nature it embodies making it perfect for any aesthetic or space energy.
This offering is for ONE washed and pressed fabulous thick and nubby barkcloth remnant...it was part of a drapery panel that didn't get too much use in its day...I have 4 available being sold individually...each measuring 23 inches wide x 62 inches long. A gorgeous creamy powder puff pink ground...so fem Hawaiian cottage...celestial sky blues...palest blues...with a periwinkle-ness hue to the vibe...deep dark merlot...creamy charcoal and dove grays...aqua minty greens...limes...a hue of jadeite...with white accents. Signed "Guaranteed to be Vat Prints". The perfect main ingredient for deluxe tropical shabby chic pillows. This was at one time a barley used drapery...selvedges are untouched and were never hemmed...the last panel sold has a teensy manufacturer flaw at the very bottom left...the green print smudged during the making process...a nothing and the others don't have it...but the photo shows the flawed one. Otherwise a flawless representation of Art Deco...beach cottage...Hawaiiana...and Miami Beach chic.
