Used cocktail menu from the Hollywood Fred Harvey restaurant.In 1939, the Harvey Company opened up a Fred Harvey Restaurant in the heart ofHollywood, adjacent to the new Travel Center. The property at 1743N. Cahuenga Boulevard on a strip of street in Hollywood often called theCahuenga Corridor. The Travel Center, as described, seemed ideal to capitalizeon the national and international notion of Hollywood as a mecca of success andexcitement; an advertisement announcing the Travel Center\'s opening touts theconvenience of the Santa Fe Trailways bus service and the \"delicious FredHarvey meals in the distinctively different Restaurant.\" But like most placesthat thrived in what we now know as the \"Golden Era\" of Hollywood,the Fred Harvey Restaurant faded from memory, and by the 80s had becomesomething else altogether. 6 ½” x 9”. Mild edge wear on the cover. Some spottinginside and the back cover is heavily marked and discolored. See scans.
