This is a vintage original 1939 menu from Hesse’s Tasty Foods restaurant in Seattle, Washington. This menu is four pages measuring about 12” x 9.5”. This menu isn’t dated but the front cover has a photo of the 1939 UCLA Bruins vs. Washington Huskies college football game so thus the date. A hamburger was 15 cents so 1939 seems about right for a date on this menu.

Hesse Restaurant was located at 139 N. Broadway (now Broadway E.) in the Capitol Hill section of Seattle which is the southwest corner of Broadway and Olive Way.
