~Here for your consideration, is an extraordinarily scarce, original, vintage, 1939-1940 New York World's Fair “WINTER GUARD” POLICE UNIFORM JACKET.This incredible piece ofNew York World's Fair memorabilia, was worn by the police, who patrolled the Fair’s grounds, during the winter when the Fair was closed to the public.It has the 1940 NEW YORK WORLD’S FAIR TRYLON and PERISPHERE PATCH on the shoulder, 3 large and 6 small, VERY RARE, METAL BUTTONS, all of which have the three dimensional image of the TRYLON AND PERISPHERE, which were manufacturedby the famous WATERBURY BUTTON COMPANY and are impressed with the company name on the back of each one. Additionally it has the original manufacturer’s label and the label that bears the name and precinct of police officer, who wore their jacket.As is evident in the photos, this jacket is in excellent vintage condition!~
