Motorsports artists as accomplished as Peter Helck were impressed by Demand's skill. Helck wrote about Demand: "...the very best of these works are beyond my skills. There are a dozen in the [print] set which amaze me and I believe [one of them] to be just about the finest racing bit of art I have ever seen."As published in the book, Carlo Demand: In Motion and Color.
