Thisisan interesting souvenir of The Singing Tower (Bok Tower and Gardens) in Lake Wales Florida. The tower was commissioned by publisher Edward Bok. It was completed in 1929 and dedicated in February by then President Calvin Coolidge on his way out of office. Bok was publisher of Ladies Home Journal and advocated a woman\'s place is in said home. He was a promoter of small affordable \"bungalow\" type homes and popularized the \"living room\". He died in 1930 and is buried at the entrance to the tower. The souvenir here is a Doberman Pinscher dog. I can find no connection to Bok or reason for such a souvenir of the Tower. I found one photo of Bok with two \"muts\" from 1919. I found just one other example of this dog souvenir, it also has a Singing Tower plaque! It is on priced at $195. Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are describedhere-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described asnew, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item ofgiven age. If Free Shipping is offered it will be by the cheapestmethod possible, for books that will be Media Mail.
