1930's California Pottery P620 Carafe. If you look at the photo of the carafe's bottom, you'll see the words: California Pottery, along with the letter P and the number 620. After doing quite a bit of research combined with the research of others (Mostly by a man namedCarl Carter - Thank you Carl!), I learned that although it was made by the Metlox company, their California Pottery P620 line didn't have the Metlox name because it was a limited promotional and premium distribution Item.The Carafewas made as an exclusive item for Sontag Drug Store starting in 1938 and continued being made until 1941. Ipurchased it in awest Los Angelesantique shop during thelate seventies or early eighties. Have you noticed that one's memory seems to get alittleblurry the longer you hang out on this planet? Anyway, I picked it up somewhere in that time frame. Considering this beauty is about 80 years old, it's in excellent shape.
