True vintage cast ironpiggy bank. He is carrying a sign that says “The Wise Pig: Save a PennyYesterday, Another Save Today, Tomorrow Save Another, To Keep The Wolf Away”.The front of the base says “Thrifty”, and the back is marked © J.M.R. Thesewere made by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, PA. There is wear consistentwith the age of the bank. The screw onthe back is not the original screw.
