This is an antique poll card dated 30th May 1929 for the Parliamentary Election, Richmond Division.
This poll card was to VOTE for DUGDALE.
It comes with its original perforated piece with register No. UU 131 on it although it is not attached to the rest of the card anymore.
His opponent was HINKS.

This was Thomas Lionel Dugdale, 1st Baron Crathorne, 1897 - 1977. Known as Sir Thomas Dugdale 1st Baronet from 1945 - 1959 and a British Conservative Party politician which goes without saying. Crathorne is near Yarm.
He won this election in 1929.In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. The edges and corners are worn and discoloured. It also has a few creases. There are also some mucky marks on the card, front and back. Its creased but of course these were made for the day only, then to be thrown out and burnt on the fire the next day.
I wonder HOW MANY have survived ?A very nice go-with if you are into local social history items or political collectables or even if you are related to either of the people on the polling card.
