A postcard with hand written message signed and dated October 29, 1928 by artist Griswold Tyng (1883-1960). The message reads:My dear Grace, Altho it is quite two weeks since our return from the wonderful trip we had to Portsmouth and Kittery, I still remember it constantly with the greatest pleasure. I believe my family have already conveyed my thanks as well as their own. On my return I almost immediately came down here and have been very busy copying the portraits of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence at the Yale Art Museum and have become for a short time a sort of back door Yale student. It measures 3-1/2\" x 5-1/2\". The top of the card has a pencil inscription from what appears to be another hand in pencil.
