1927 Vintage Press Photo by WIDE WORLD PHOTOS.Old Orchard, Maine.Mrs. Frances Wilson Grayson, commander of the Sikorsky amphibian plane \"The Dawn,\" now at Old Orchard Beach, Maine, yesterday postponed her trans-Atlantic flight to Copenhagen because of adverse weather conditions. Photo shows the pilot and navigator of \"The Dawn\" with their wives.Photo Shows Left to right, they are Wilmer Stultz, pilot, Mrs. Stultz, Mrs. Goldsborough and Brice Goldsborough, navigator.
Wilmer Lower Stultz was an aviator who made the first non-stop flight between New York City and Havana, Cuba. He died in a crash in 1929. Brice Herbert Goldsborough was an American aviation instrument designer at Sperry Gyroscope and later founded the Pioneer Instrument Company. He flew aboard the Spirit of St. Louis with Charles Lindbergh in two test flights. He died in an attempt to cross the Atlantic Ocean with Frances Wilson Grayson aboard The Dawn.
