This is a 1925 University of Wisconsin Badger yearbook in good condition. There are individual photos of each graduate (Class of 1924) receiving an undergraduate degree. There are many campus photos included in this unusually thick volume. There are group photos of societies and sports teams, including the varsity football team (pictured on page 250). The baseball team is shown on page 266. A list of Phi Beta Kappa members is included on page 406. A photograph of Pulitzer Prize winning author Zona Gale appears on page 414. There is a section providing full-page photos of Wisconsin Women on pages 290-298. Notable individuals pictured include university president and economist Richard Theodore Ely (shown on multiple pages in the front of the book), Herman Ekern, Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin (shown on page 65), and Stanley C. Allyn, Comptroller of National Cash Register Company (appearing on page 58). Balthasar Henry Meyer, a long time member of the Interstate Commerce Commission, is shown on page 100.

Zona Gale (August 26, 1874 – December 27, 1938), also known by her married name, Zona Gale Breese was an American novelist, short story writer, and playwright. She became the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1921.

Herman Louis Ekern (December 27, 1872 – December 4, 1954) was an American attorney and progressive Republican politician who served as the 28th lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, the 25th attorney general of Wisconsin, and the 42nd speaker of the Wisconsin General Assembly.

Richard Theodore Ely (April 13, 1854 – October 4, 1943) was an American economist author, and leader of the Progressive Movement who called for more government intervention to reform what they perceived as the injustices of capitalism. In 1925, Ely served as President of the University of Wisconsin.

Allyn: Harvard Leadership writes: As leader of National Cash Register, Allyn was an ardent supporter of first-class working conditions for employees and a strong believer in corporate citizenship for his company. By 1947, Allyn had tripled National Cash Register’s sales volume with total sales of $98 million.

Balthasar Henry Meyer (May 28, 1866 – February 9, 1954) was an American government official and professor of economics and sociology. He served for 28 years as a member of the Interstate Commerce Commission.Meyer took two degrees, including his doctorate in 1897, from the University of Wisconsin in 1894–95

The yearbook: The yearbook is in good condition. There is a series of very nice photos of campus scenes at the front of the book, as well as colorful graphics throughout. There are no binding issues. There are about five pages that are detached but that remain with the book. There are no missing pages. It has 656 pages. The cover is brown fabric over hardcover boards with gold decoration. It measures 12 1/8 \" tall by 9 1/2 \" wide and 2 1/4\" thick. It is volume 39.
