1920s Shad Fish Card E32 Philadelphia Caramels Like Allen & Ginter N8 Tobacco:

This card is from a series of 50 cardsissued as a premium by thePHILADELPHIA Confections Company ofCamden New Jersey, entitled “ Zoo Cards Fish ” . Onecard was inserted in each package oftheir ZOO CARAMELS Brand. This series isdesignated as E28 in Burdick’sAmerican Card Catalogue. I have not beenable to find a date of their issue in any reference guide I have, but I believethey were issued in the 1910-1920sera. The front of the card features animage of a wild Animal. The images are identical to the one used by Allen & Ginter in their N8 Fish Series ofTobacco Cards issued in the 1890’s. The back features a list of all of the cardin the series. This card featuresa SHAD FISH.The card measures 2 ¾ inches by 1 ½approximately. The card does havesome lighter corner and edge wear, a few spots of discoloration, but is free from creases.
