This fantasticcard is one in a series of 20 cards issued by the BLATZ Company of Milwaukee Wisconsin.(the Same company that made the famous beer).One was given with each packageof their Grape and Mint Gum The seriesis designated as series R197 in Burdick’sAmerican Card Catalogue and is entitled“ Screen Stars” Burdick does not providea date for this series, however based on the stars features one does assume itwas sometime in the 1920’s . The frontfeatures a beautiful head and shoulders portrait of the featuredActor or Actress.
