SLIDE CONDITION:

Review the seller notes (condition description) above for specific details on the slide condition.

Pictures: Please zoom in and examine the pictures, since I don\'t describe defects clearly shown in the pictures. (If the picture is completely different than the listing title, contact me before buying to clarify).

The actual slide is usually more \"in focus\" than the photos. The wavy lines or grid patterns that are sometimes in the pictures are NOT in the actual slide. The cover glass may show reflections that are not in the actual slide. I take pictures from the LABEL side of the slide, which is often the BACK side, so the pictures can be a mirror image of the actual scene.

I may not describe problems which are typical for slides this old. For example:

The Glass: The glass may be dusty, dirty, sticky, or have smudge marks (I do not clean before selling). The glass may have minor scratches, surface abrasions or small nicks on the edges or corners. (I try to make a special note of any cracks in the glass I find.)

The Image: There may be small specks, scratches or other imperfections in the image. There can be browning, yellowing, or fading, particularly around the paper mat. There can be oxidation, heat damage, crackling of the emulsion, or other deterioration.

Labels: Labels may appear more yellow/darker (or sometimes lighter) than they actually are. I sometimes add information which is NOT on the label, and such information is MY BEST GUESS. The label can also be wrong, so please do your own verification. There may be writing, scribbles, or other marks on labels. Labels may be torn, faded, starting to come off, or even missing. There may be labels or stickers on the opposite side of the slide that are not shown in the pictures. Dates of artwork, etc. on labels may be earlier than the date the slide was created.

Paper Mat:There may be age-related shrinkage tears, fading, wrinkling, oxidation residue, or other damage to the paper mat.

Binding Tape: Tape may be loose, ripped, torn, damaged, brittle, or partially missing. The tape can be brittle (or the glue on the tape so old) that handling might cause some of the tape to come off. (Some of the tape visible in the pictures may not be there when you receive the slide). Binding tape is often replaced or repaired over the years, often with rubber-adhesive tape which won\'t stand up to the heat of old projectors.

Size converted slides: Sometimes, a British-sized image glass was made in to a US-sized slide (4\" X 3 1/4\") by using filler glass or cardboard. The conversion is often easy to miss. If I do notice it, I will add \"size-converted slide\" to the condition notes.

The item details are to help search for the slide and may be wrong.

For slides framed in stapled cardboard (typically movie slides), there can be rusted staples, deteriorating cardboard, marks on the cardboard, etc. For slides framed in pressed cardboard, the cardboard can sometimes be separating or deteriorating.

International Customers: Pay for slides together and will calculate a combined shipping discount. There are large jumps in the shipping price as certain weights are reached, so send me a message to get current pricing for multiple slides shipped to your country. Customs fees (and in some countries a separate fee for collecting the customs charge) are the responsibility of the buyer. Actual purchase price will be noted on customs forms.

Inventory Code: GN-480

International Customers:Shipping options seem to change often. If you are buying more than one glass slide, please contact me BEFORE buying so I can figure out the best way to help you save on combined shipping
