This lamp can be used with kerosene, the only thing missing is the kerosene bowl that can attach onto the bottom fairly easy.

I’ve converted so that the lamp could light up for show simply running off of 2 double D batteries and a on-off switch. Can easily be converted back to kerosene. I got the carriage lamp evaluated by a local antique dealer. He appraised it two ways, 1st if the kerosene bottom bowl was attached and 2nd the value of it now without the kerosene bottom bowl.

If I had the bottom bowl for the kerosene the value would be around $1,200 dollars .
