This magazine was published by the United Daughters of the Confederacy and is an example of \"Lost Cause\" propaganda glorifying the South and pre-Civil War values during a time of massive racism in the United States. Magazines and books like this complete rewrote the story of the Civil War into a \'Gone with the Wind\' narrative. Very good or even excellent condition. Some minor wear but otherwise the pages are white and supple and the binding is tight. A true artifact and a solid addition to any collection.
