The Canton & East Liverpool Railroad Company (C&EL) was organized in 1888 to build a street railroad connecting the east and west ends of East Liverpool, Ohio. It connected with the Youngstown & Southern Railroad at Leetonia, Ohio and with the Stark Electric Railway at Salem, Ohio. The C&EL provided both passenger and freight services. The line was abandoned in 1927 and the company dissolved. For sale is a rare document from the C&EL, a capital stock certificate date December 8, 1902. It is for 5 shares. The stock is sealed and hand signed. This document, now 120+ years old, is in fair-good condition. All writing/markings are from its issuance and processing. There is a small 1/2 tear at the top of the stock, and a 1/2 inch tear at the bottom right corner. The stock record slip has 2 tears along the fold line. Get images that
