1901 POSTCARD RUSSIAN-FRENCH MILITARY MANOEUVRES CZAR NICHOLAS II
HISTORY:The Franco-Russian alliance was first a military cooperation agreement signed between France and the Russian Empire which was in force from 1892 to 1917. The agreement stipulated that the two countries should support each other if they were attacked by one of the countries of the Triple Alliance (also called Triple Alliance): German Empire, Austria-Hungary & the Kingdom of Italy. In the broad sense it was military cooperation, economic and financial between the two powers.

The maneuvers East 1901 designate important military exercises conducted by some of the French army, in eastern France, during the early fall of 1901. The September 21, 1901 took place in the presence of the Russian Emperor Nicolas II and the President of the French Republic Émile Loubet, a review under the Franco-Russian alliance, involving the participation of 130 000 soldiers, under the command of General Joseph We offer for your consideration an original 1901 postcard showing the military commanders during the French-Russian military manoeuvres which involved 130 000 soldiers.
