- this is a really neat piece of folk art, circa 1900-1920, wonderful way to use contrasting woods and inlay ! , you can see some molding missing up top , other then that no damage, looks like it might have had a strange hinge at one point its no longer there, the lid is set up to lift off , sometimes with this folk art the creator would use old things and add to them this could be the case ! either way its one of a kind for sure handle estate items please ask any questions before making an offer.
