A rare example of this beautiful washed style prevalent from the late 1800s into the early 1900s. This Box is assumed to be Italian in origin based on style and production, and antique based on the crazing on the inside and outside of the box. Featured are scallops on the four sides of the lid and Box, with ribboned rosette garlands flowing along the sides as well. Featured on top of the lid is a prominent sunflower in the center, bringing the joy of the sun to whoever happens to gaze upon it. A lovely piece for a lovely person such as yourself.
