This fantasticcard was issued by the Church andDwight Company . during 1900 in their Arm and Hammer and Cow Brand Baking Soda and saleratus. It is one from a fairly scarce series of 30Fishes which are designated atseries J15 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue. The front of the card features a colorfulimage on the card (the silver paint usedis a metallic type which produces astunning shiny luminescent effect when held to the light). The Image is Audubon–esque in quality. Thebacks of the cards are a wealth of knowledgewith regards to the fish, giving detailedinformation such as location, history,habitat, food and best baits to use when fishing for the particular species. This card features a GOLDEN SHINER and is number 4in the series. The Card measures 3 inches by 2 inchesapproximately. The card does have some light surface wrinkles to one back corner. They do not affect the front, and are not very obvious to the naked eye.I have scanned the card fairly large for you to be able to judgecondition for yourself.
