This listing is for an antique 1899 postcard from Palestine while it was under the control of the Ottoman Empire. It has Wien (Vienna) & Jerusalem postmarks. The front pictures Rachel\'s Tomb in Bethlehem and has German on the front.
The back has the Vienna (Wien) postmark of 10.2.99 and a partial postmark from Jerusalem. A the top of the card it is printed in French \"UNION POSTALE UNIVERSELLE TURQUIE CARTE POSTALE\", which means \"Universal Postal Union - Turkey - Postcard and also in French \"NB. ce côté-ci est réservé exclusivement à l\'adresse.\", which means \"Note well, This side is reserved exclusively for the address\". The original stamp is missing.
