1890s PRETTY AMETHYST GLASS JELLY JAR WITH ORIGINAL RAMPED LID & CLAMP:

Here\'s a scarce early amethyst glass jelly jar with its original ramped lid and wire bail closure....You are only buying the ONE smaller jar on the right...the larger size is listed separately.....no embossing....Hand pressed in mold....round with indented holes in sides of neck for wire bail to anchor into.....3 1/8\"tall (4 1/8\"counting lid)......2 3/4\"across base...round.....amethyst.....original glass domed lid has sloping ramp which bail slides up to tighten down on very top.....Excellent shiny nice condition with only a small sliver flake on side ear & tiny nick on rim of jar & a shallow chipped spot on edge of glass lid. Also a couple tiny nicks on underside edge of lid ... Shiny clean with no haze. Clamp is tight. We are going through many boxes of 50 years worth of digging and accumulated treasures, so its time to \"thin out the herd\" a little.
