1890’s to 1900’s Danny Green cabinet card published by Neick of Chicago. Green started his MLB career for the Chicago Orphans/Cubs. He finished his career playing for the White Sox. Danny missed a MLB World Series championship with the Sox by one season. His career ended in 1911. His final years of pro baseball were spent playing minor league in Wisconsin and Iowa. Career .293 lifetime MLB. The Green family claimed Danny died young at 38 in 1914 due to a baseball beaning complication. A book on baseball deaths argued the claim. The book claimed Green died of syphilis. Cabinet card has not been tested for syphilis. Card is a little less than 5 by 7 inch in size. Stains, toning and wear. Very heavy horizontal crease. Card is stable and priced appropriately.
