This is anUnissued Gold Mine Stock Certificate from the 1890’s.From the North American Gold Company, in the Cripple Creek / Victor Mining District, Colorado. Because we havea smallpad ofa few complete certificates we leave attached the perforated stub that the company kept when they issued the stock! Each has a unique matching number crash printed on both the stub and the Certificate, making itOne of a Kind. The North American Gold Company had $1,000,000 in Capital Stock in the 1890’s, one of the largest in Colorado for that era. Remnants of the company still exist and are the only Gold Company still mining in Colorado. Look at this close up of the fantastic Vignettes in the photos above.

It features Gold miners with hand pick axes striking the Gold Ore wall and shovels scooping Gold ore into a chain hoisted bucket, a jug of liquid refreshment at their feet. Also, around the edge perimeter are 6 vignettes of individual miners wearing hats with picks in one hand, a gold nugget in the other! And where their pick axes are striking the Gold ore wall also has the glitter of Gold! The date is written such, A.D. 189_ with the last digit blank, to fill in when the shares were issued.

According to the bottom, the shares were $1.00 each when issued. Phenomenal graphics and lettering and a unique green ink swirled background to thwart counterfeiters. Seldom can we offer such an old document inPerfect Condition. No folds, No rips, no nips. Never have we been able to offer a stock certificate with the company issuing stub. Gold Mine Stock Certificates are the most highly sought after by collectors. Especially ones with distinct graphic details from well over a century ago.
