In this listing we are offering a superb condition & all original cast iron parlor stove still bank. This very ornate six paneled bank features a flying bird on each of two of the panels. It has two slots, an unusual feature, at the top for inserting coins. This bank dates from circa 1890-1910 or so. It was made by the Chamberlain & Hill Company in England. Underneath the base there is an \"Rd\" marking with a number which is the English equivalent of an American patent number. There is an only a minor amount of wear to the all original finish. There is one spot of surface oxidation about 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch on one side panel. Approximately 90% or so of the beautiful original transparent rich brown varnish is still intact.
There are no cracks, no chips, no missing components, & no repairs.This is one of the best condition examples that we have seen of this bank which is usually found with much less original finish. This pleasing & attractive bank has a height of 6 3/8 inches & a maximum base diameter of 4 inches. The weight is 1 pound & 8.2 ounces.
