Cabinet card photograph of people on a wooded path ina park at Camp Washington in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Peter Zutterling, circa 1880sto 1890s. The view, identified on the back as Jacob Stockly, Camp Washington,Cincinnati, Ohio, and (at bottom in pencil) Browerrbe [sp.?] Promenade, showsseveral people seated on benches and walking down a narrow path shaded by tallevergreen trees. Camp Washington is a neighborhood in Cincinnati, but I couldnot identify the specific location of this promenade or park. Nor could Iidentify Jacob Stockly. The photographer is Peter Zutterling (1875-1922), whowas listed in an 1890 city directory as having a gallery at 503 Vine Street (asprinted on this card). The cabinet card is in good condition with minimal wearand soiling. The card appears to have been trimmed down slightly at top andbottom. The photograph exhibits very good tonal range and shows very gooddetail. A nice early Cincinnati OH image!
