The letter is from John ...? who identifies himself as the Receiver under the Courts of Chancery for the property of his son, Harry Jamieson (presumably the Jamieson\'s of Gainford). He proposes to meet the recipient, Jonathon Melrose, at the Kings Arms Berwick.Where I have provided no additional information on the item it is because I can find no identifying features to suggest where it has come from or what was the original format.
