Compliedin 1957 containing 198 typewritten pages (a number of which are carboncopies) along with and 12 handwritten pages.

The bark City of Bangor (official # 125060) 599 88/95 tons.First registered in Bangor Maine November 13th, 1862 and owned byIsaish and George Stetson. Measuring 139’ in length X 30’-9” Beam and 15’-4 ½”in Depth. City of Bangor was engaged in the European trade between London,Rotterdam, Liverpool and Hamburg with charters for Adelaide and southAustralia. In 1874 City of Bangor was sold to Benjamin Olson of Goteborg Swedenand renamed “Hindostan” operating from Gothenburg and serving western Europeanports. Hindostan was sold once again to E. Abrahamsson of Gothenburg in 1879.Hindostan was not to be found in the Lloyds Register beyond 1879.

Transcripts contain tremendous amount of detailedinformation on voyages, cargos, income and expenses and letter from the captainto his family.
