This is a deep olive yellow green crude whittled Traveler's Companion Sheaf of Wheat quart whiskey flask blown at the Westford Glass Works in Westford, CT in the 1857-1865 era....unfortunately, the lip is badly chipped around the top.. Listed by McKearin as GXIV-1. ...TRAVELER'S COMPANION bold emb on front with a star in middle.....Sheaf of Wheat with rake & pitchfork emb on back.... Hand blown in mold, bimal....early smooth base with straight line hinge mold seam & small sunken circle in middle.....applied tapered collar.....dark green with hint of yellow.....quart size.....8 1/2"tall..The top part of lip is chipped off, but no other damage. An attic flask with only some light inside dust haze. The glass is so dark it would be easy to repair if you know someone who is handy with epoxy or resin......
