Very interesting reading about Melbourne and Victoria more than 160 years ago.

This edition has the report on a murder in Big Hill, an executioncarriedout in Bendigo, Chinese gamblers, and reports from the Snowy River Goldfields.

The edition also covers articles of note concerning "The Farm" and "The Garden", as well as general news reported, both local, Australia wide, and from overseas. There are also interesting advertisements, exhibitions, money lent, impounded horses, and prices of various agricultural based items.
