Five Hand-Pieced Feathered Star Blocks, antique1860-1880Fiber: CottonColors: Pink and brown on muslin backgroundEach block measures approximately 16” raw edge to raw edge. Fabrics are muslin, Double Pinks, and Madder prints probably dating from the late 1800s. The blocks are not flat. The center octagons are too large. To make them lie flat, the pink center octagon units (take the muslin triangles off as well) would need to be deconstructed and cut down by approximately ½” to make them match the surrounding pieces.Condition: Fabric is sturdy.
