1835 France General Marshal War Minister Maison Promotion Certificate Napoleon :

I am offering for sale an1835 Certificate executed by the French Minister of War, Nicolas Joseph Maison, confirming the promotion of an adjutant of administration. Minister Maison previously served as the Captain in the French Revolutionary Army and an Aide de Camp to Minister of War Bernadotte in 1799. He fought under Napoleon in the Battle of Austerlitz and served as a General de Brigade and fought in the Battle of Jena, the 1812 Russian Campaign and the Battle of Leipzig. After the restoration, King Louis XVIII appointed him Governor of Paris and later Commander of the French Expeditionary Corps. He was created a Marshal of France by King Charles X in 1829. He served as Minister of War from April 30, 1835, until September 19, 1836. It would look great framed. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina. It measures 11 1/4\" x 7 7/8\".
