James Smith (1791-1870) & wife Malinda Smith agree to sell Andrew Smith (1802-1859) land in Washington County, Indiana near Salem.
It mentions being bonded in Jeffersonville and as it lays out the borders of the land uses a dogwood tree and Lost River as part of the boundaries. Also borders Rene Chastain (1775-1860).
James was born in Manchester, England and buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Washington County. Little is known about his wife.
Andrew is buried in the Mills Creek Cemetery in Washington County.
Rene is buried in the Lost River Cemetery in Campbellsburg of Washington County.
