Stampless folded letter written August 22, 1832 by (Anamiah ?) Dodge in Frankfort Mills, Maine and sent to their brother Lewis Dodge in Palmer, Massachusetts. Interesting content about travels, family news, cholera outbreak and more. The letter was delivered in error to Salem, MA and then forwarded with a Salem postmark to Palmer. See the information on the display sheet - this is a late usage of the Salem postmark - the last known was just two months later.
