1832 Almanac Unlce Sam’s Philedelphia Handwritten Notes Inside:

Inside was a handwritten poem. It reads

“on the 2nd of the 5th month, 1832, the cheering note of the Bluebird twice rounded in my ear. It seems as though one note was for the present year and one for the past not having heard any the preceding year so short lived is earthly happiness.”

I just absolutely love this. He also has written inside about his brothers death.

The almanac itself is not in the best condition, it is, however 186 years old.
