Here's a scarce little pint size 3 pc mold blown pontiled flint glass decanter from the 1810-1830 era with its original matching diamond hobnail 3 mold blown glass stopper....You are only buying the ONE small size decanter on the right....This early New England flint glass decanter was most likely made at either the Keene Marlboro St Glassworks or the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. It is listed as McKearin GII-22 in "American Glass" (see page 251). This early decanter has diamond quilted pattern with ribbed base and shoulder, along with slanted bands.......3 crude applied "double" bands around neck with impressed decorations ...... Hand blown in 3 piece mold....early rough open pontil scar on bottom....wide flared square ring lip....clear flint glass....only 6 3/8"tall (8 1/2"counting stopper)......The original matching diamond hobnail 3 mold blown stopper is perfect. Decanter is also sparkling attic near mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind to either bottle or stopper. Sparkling clean with only a ring of old content haze in very bottom and also in lower neck... About the finest possible example you will find! It came from an old New England collection originally, and from our own personal collection. This little pint size is much harder to find than the quart size...
